Creating Bespoke Art Pieces - what's the process?

In a world filled with mass-produced art and generic decor, the demand for bespoke artwork has surged as individuals and organisations seek to embellish their spaces with distinctive narratives and personal flair. Curating a bespoke artworks involves a meticulous process of understanding the client's vision, selecting skilled artists, and overseeing the creation of tailor-made pieces that resonate with the client's unique identity. Let us take you though one of our examples on a successful art commission!

Step 1. Our client provided a contextual images, fabric and finishes scheme, as well as 3d visual for reference. A few artists had been selected for the choosing, and further procurement.

Step 2. A colour scheme based on the provided interiors had been prepared for the Client to chose a preferred colour direction.

Step 3. Once a suitable colour palette was chosen, an A4 sketch was prepared prior to start of canvas works to ensure the right position of the subject was established. A couple of revision rounds were made to ensure all the Clients wishes were met.

Step 4. Once confirmed, frame options are proposed and selected. The artwork is framed, securely packed by art packing specialists and shipped to the Client, with a white glove service.

And here is the final result!

With our carefully selected specialised artists, the possibilities are endless. Artworks can be created in many ways - based on the Client’s reference images, with the lead of our art curators or artists, making your passion come to life!

Exa Interiors will ensure that the piece will become a treasure in your collection!

Installation Week at "Medcare Women & Children"

Installations underway this week! It has been a long hard process to achieve a perfect balanced result, but we got there in the end! The two sculptures are embodiments of mother and child figures, adjacent to each other in a beautiful green landscape atmosphere. The visitors will now be able to enjoy the works in the courtyard in both day and night scenes, thanks to their placement and illumination.

Artist Studio Visit

ExA Arts is a new division we have dedicated to our art commissions and collaborations with artists. As part of our expanding library, we work with and represent some of our artists,  always striving to keep up to date with new works. This week we are in Sardinia to pick up some art pieces from the artist studio of our Italian artist Cristina. Her forte is equestrian, portrait, italian cultural art as well as abstract paintings.

We wanted to share some of her fantastic work with you all! One of her best must be the facade of her own home!

Recently we used one of her artworks for our Castelsardo Holiday Home project to add to the authenticity of the local culture and add emotion to the interior.

Experimenting with sculpture mock-ups

Sculpture is a very emotional art form, that requires a lot of thought process and interpretation.

As part of the ongoing art commission at Medcare's Women and Children hospital, we are going through a selection and experimentation process in order to explore the possibilities and artistic directions through mock-up preparations.

This is some of the options we came up with.

Skyler Grey @ Coya Dubai

Tonight Avant Gallery held the opening of Skyler Grey's first Dubai ehibition at Coya's super chic member's club at the Four Seasons Resort Dubai. The art prodigy is only 16 years old and a native to LA has created some of the most recognised pop art pieces as the "HER" Hermes series and canvases depicting superhero and classic cartoon characters in his own vision.

We particularly loved the piece he did "on stage" at Coya and hope to see more of his works in Dubai!

Claire Robertson Exhibit at Bacchus Lounge - London

As a part of ongoing collaboration with our artists, we are happy to announce the exhibition of Claire Robertson's equestrian themed series at Bacchus Lounge - London.

The combination of rustic italian interiors and the pop art surrealist expressions by Robertson, create a unique atmosphere. We hope you enjoy!

About the Artist:

"Robertson creates absorbing and disturbing paintings using cinematic techniques like extreme angles and distortions and often hybrid subjects, which bring to light aspects of ourselves that we would hardly want to know about. Magnifying the darker threads of human life, the mysterious world of desires and defences, these modern takes on a Surrealist heritage, mimic the "˜dreamwork' that Freud described, where desire is veered away from, only to take on the form of strange convergence." Newblood Art "In my work, I search for that uncanny, uneasy thing that pulls you in and freaks you out, believing that within all of us there is something hidden, a dark seedy side, where a mixture of melancholic vision and ecstatic emotion lingers below the surface. Appropriating images directly from photographers, fashion shoots and the wonder that is Google, I collage together a narrative based on the cheap melodrama of tabloid journalism, with an animal cast in domestic environments. Key to my work is confronting our true emotions and desires, especially in relation to coming-of-age defiance, identity, independence and vulnerability. The long and complex relationship between man and beast makes the Horse a perfect vessel through which we can enter and act; the animal pretence generating a safety in which our deepest hopes and fears will not be ridiculed by the skepticism of reality. Pathos encourages us to make emotional ties and bonds with these protagonists and place ourselves in the narrative of the works, to the extent that we come to feel almost a sense of self pity, as we look on at these unknown creatures, in a way a human depiction wouldn't allow."

We hope you enjoy!
